I tried searching, but there is so much info and I can't find this specific answer. My 06 Double cab Tacoma has 100K miles on it with the stock shocks. The ride is terrible and I'm getting extra wear on the inside of my tires. The repair guy said the old shocks were the reason. I decided I want to upgrade to the 5100's all around, but I only want to level it out. Basically I just want to know what new springs to get. Would the OME or the Eibach springs work for just leveling?

Bilstein 5100's on all four corners. Front set @ 0 with OME 883x coils. Alcon leaf springs. Viper Alarm. Wet Okole seat covers. WeatherTech Floor liners front and back. Oem Toyota chrome exhaust tip. ARE Shell. America Outlaw Wheels.
I have a 2011 dcsb with the 2x1 rear leafs . I also just wanted to level out the truck . So here is what I did. I went with the 5100's all around. Fronts are set at 0 with OME 883x springs. It leveled it out and it rides so much better then stock. Hope that helps.

883s will give you right about 1" of lift.

    Agreed.

I don't have any lift, but in my research, I found 883s with billies at 0 should be around 1.5" of lift, and would be close to the Eibach with billies at 0 for 1.6" of lift.

Foglights are for fog, not oncoming traffic!
883's and 5100s with no preload is perfect.
I have that plus OME Dakars with 3rd leaf removed and it is perfect.
Toyota should have outsourced the suspension to begin with.

Those of you with 5100's and 883's hows the ride? I'm looking at doing the same as the OP to my truck as well. I know I don't want to preload my factory off-road coils so looking into the Eibachs or OME.

I was not happy with (first gen) 881s and 5100s. Got harsh. I swapped in OME nitorchargers and it is better. I recommend OME shocks with OME springs.

Many people like the 5100 + Eibach, but I've never had Eibachs.

Seems like everyone that is saying they have 883's is a prerunner. I'm pretty sure ive seen the 4wd guys using 884's and 885's if they have armor. Does that sound right? I want to level my 12 sport 4wd and was thinking eibach and 5100's. Can you guys suggest what eibach?
