When taking the sway bar off is there anything else that needs to be disconnected other then the two brackets and where it attaches to spindles? Once these are disconnected will it slide out to one side?

Prolly have to take off your splash-pan/skid plate.

I don't think you can pull it out from one end.

Once the splash pan is out isn't there something else in the way then pr venting it from falling down?

Nope. Four bracket bolts and two spindle nuts. The spindle nuts are 17mm IIRC.

im pretty sure it still needs to be pulled out to one side... I just had mine unhooked to install 5100s and it defn didn't just drop out the bottom once unbolted.

In my experience it was necessary to unbolt the two splash pan support braces as well.

Right. I forgot - I removed those a while back to install my aftermarket skid plate.

And I've never tried pulling the thing out with those mounts in place.

May be a dumb question...... Is it possible to remove without jacking truck up and removing tires?

I was able to fish mine out fairly easy without removing the support braces. But I might have uttered a curse word or two :goingcrazy:

^I was afraid for the transmission lines and CV boots. The sway bar is surprisingly heavy. I think it's a solid rod rather than a tube.

Very difficult to separate the links from the spindle without removing the tires. You can separate the bar from the links and just remove the bar. Make sure the dangling links don't jab into anything.

Yes, that's how I've done it several times.

When you did it with wheels on does it still pull out to one side or drop down somehow?

    Drops down.
Splash guards and braces need to be removed. With the curves in the bar, I don't think it'll pull out from ones side.
