    critique my suspension setup 2005

Hey, I have 2005 reg that I need to upgrade current suspension.
It's currently at shop for frame.
I am thinking of OME springs and shocks front and back, Light Racing ball joint upper a arms , and an add a leaf for rear leaf.
    Opinions please and thanks

How are your stock leafs? I am guessing since it's a 2005, the leafs are shot. AAL will not fix them.

Not much there to critique.... How high do you want to lift, which OME springs are you using, what's the truck used for?

^To add, will you be off roading it or is it just for looks?

Sorry for the lack of info.
I will be getting new leafs,4, with frame replacement and recall.
I use truck for commuting back and forth to work, paved roads, and lightweight offroading. I use truck for hunting/trapping, lots of fields, tractor paths, hauling firewood.
    OME 885 coils
    OME 90000, 60091 shocks.
Thanks for any and all input

Could always add a progressive AAL pack to the new leafs. The optimal choice is replacing the Toyota pack completely. Don't forget the carrier bearing drop kit, no need for a diff drop on a 2nd gen, they're useless, extended brake lines, new u bolts (really depends on what rear lead option you go with) and new bump stops.

Can't go wrong with OME

I am going to need carrier drop kit? Why? Where do you purchase that?

I would install everything and if you have no vibes you're good. If so that's when you should start looking at carrier drops. I did a 1.5" AAL and C/O's upfront with ZERO vibe issues.

Since you have a regular cab, I don't think you even have a carrier bearing so that wouldn't be needed.

I would recommend the progressive AAL, either Icon or Wheelers. They give you a nice ride.

Since you have a standard cab, 4 cylinder, you should research your lift a bit more since you'll end up getting a little more than the advertised lift from those 885's.

    appreciate all the input

Icon progressive AAL in the rear.

OP, are you adding any weight to it up front? I.e. Winch, bumper, skids, sliders? As Pugga, you will get over 3" in the front without any additional weight.

884's or even 883's. Same spring rate, just a shorter spring. If you're not adding weight up front, the 883's would put you just under or at2", 884's would likely put you just over 2". It gets a little gray with the 4 cylinder models because most of the advertised lift amounts are for the V6 models. I would find people who have lifted a 4 banger and see what they used and how much lift they got.

No additional weight in front, although I would love a good bumper.
So 885 would be 3" ish?

Might be in the 3.5"-4" range. Those coils are for double cab models NOT reg cabs.

So thoughts on 885s and the ome/Dakar leaf in back? Are the 885s going to cause more problems then it's worth, like CV/axle wear?
    Thanks

No. There are guys on the forum that have been running that setup for years and thousands of miles.

OK. Looks like I am going with 884s. Maybe a spacer on top? Little less lift but looks like I will have more room for shock to cycle, go down. I also will go with single AAL, just because I feel brand new leafs from Toyota should be pretty strong to begin with.
Thanks for all input. If you got any more let me know
