I currently have a 2013 5 lug and was thinking of taking the 6 lug tacoma spindle assembly(rotors calipers wheel bearings studs etc) and building a drop bracket for the lower control arms on my 5 lug and buying a longer coilover and bolting it all back in. Since the 6 lug spindle is almost 9 inch the drop bracket would be right about the same length so the control arms lay pretty even. Would this type of lift seem doable?

How high are you trying to go? There are some great 5 lug suspension kits out there.
