I have put 180k on a 2010 that is the same height front and back. It has 3 leafs. I just bought a used 09 that is 2-3 inches higher in the back. I noticed it has 4 leafs. Can I just take one out to level it? Why would the put 3 in some and 4 in others?

    Thanks

I don't have all the exact specifics, but will generalize based on the information I've read here (so take it FWIW).

On the 2nd Gens, the Offroad received the 3 leaf springs (also called 2+1, which is two leafs and an overload leaf) and the Sport received the 4 leaf springs (same logic follows, called 3+1).

I think the Offroad model began coming from the factory with the 3+1/4 leaf packs at some point in the last few years, but don't hold me to that.

The TSB leaf springs are the 3+1. If the TSB was applied to an older Offroad, then it will have the 3+1 versus the 2+1 packs.

OffRoad here had 3 leafs from factory. I did the Add A Leaf from Toytec and it's looking pretty flat lately so I might end up with a new leaf pack in the spring.
