I'm getting ready to order 5100s and OME coils. Curious on what else is needed for a complete install? I don't want to use any factory parts. Take out old strut and install the new preassembled one. So I'm gonna need new top strut plate mounts with the rubber cushion. I see pictures of the 5100s with hardware but what actually comes with them? Any input would be appreciated. Thanks!

For as mundane & redundant the question is, I answer because it gets confusing as hell...

Depends on where you get them, some shops send everything hardware related some just send shock, so don't condemm the OEM parts to the shitcan yet, you may need them

Fair enough. I just want to know what else I need to make a complete strut. I want to take out the old strut and install the new one. No disassembly of the stock one. I guess I'll have to wait and see what the shocks come with.

When I just did my 5100's I went everywhere trying to get the strut mount. Did find them but not one came with the rubber gasket you refer to. And the 5100's only come with replacement bushings and washers. So if you just bought new springs and shocks, you will need some of your OEM stuff

You can buy the springs and shocks from wheelers off-road. They have an option that you add to your cart where they will fully assemble the spring to the shock with new top hats and will be ready to bolt straight into the truck after removing your old assembly.
