I recently bought new spring for my 99, the old ones were probably the factory springs and were definitely wore out. When I got the truck it had sag to the passenger side, I figured springs would correct this. They helped quite a bit but the passenger side is still noticeably lower and the spring on the passenger side looks really flat, almost negative. I know that the passenger and driver side springs are arched differently so that the driver side spring corrects for lean due to weight of gas tank, driver, and all the other junk we all know is there from all the other posts on here... So my question is could I use a driver side spring on the passenger side to gain the 1/4 to 3/8 in needed to make it level?

Welcome to TW! I would check to make sure the bed is actually straight first, rather than just guess it to be the suspension.

fairly certain it is the spring because the driver side looks normal, or like a new spring and the passenger side one is close to being negative. How would I check to make sure the bed is straight, body shop??

I just went and measured the springs from the ground to the bottom of the shackle. the passenger side is about 3/8 in lower than the drivers. If a drivers side spring is arched differently would it work in the passenger side? I assume the length is the same the drivers side is just slightly stiffer to hold the extra weight on that side.

Just an update for anyone who might find this information useful. I was able to take the top 2 leaves out of my old driver side spring and use them in the new passenger side spring pack and the truck now sits perfectly level.
