So I'm looking into getting some king front and rear coil-overs, (I'm a suspension newbie) and have a few questions:

    1. What is the difference between 2.0, 2.5 and 3.0's? Is that diameter, and if so, what size for our trucks?
    2. How much travel can I fit? I see options ranging up to 16"s of travel, and as low as 8". Can i get 16" on a 3" lift and 33" tires?
    3. Are the coilovers themselves how I get the lift, or are additional parts required? If not, can I run only the new shocks until I get the $ for the additional components?
    4. Also, I'm seeing close to $600 per pair for these, yet Fox and Icon are closer to the $1,000 range, why is that?
Thank you for all and any help!

    1) 2.0,2.5,3.0 are the size of the shock body, bigger body, more oil, takes longer to heat up, less shock fade. Depending on your use 2.0 could be fine, most just go with 2.5
2)those travel numbers you see are likely shock length numbers, actual travel numbers can be figured out by cycling your suspension full droop to full bump.
    3) coil overs are where you get the lift, 0-3" lift depending where you set it at, at higher lift options you may need to add an aftermarket uca to correct caster for alignment
    4) quality and performance cost money, the higher end coil overs are fuly adjustable, rebuildable and offer extended length options for more down travel when paired with aftermarket ucas

Thanks a bunch! On 2 however, it says travel length, with overall shock length pushing something like 30"

Alright, so if I have this correct, travel stays the same unless I have LT, which keeps me around the 8" range? The last ones listed, the 16", are just for those absolutely crazy builds? And lastly, my lifting will only decrease the travel?
    That all sound right?

You'll still have the same "travel" if you lift. You'll have less down travel the higher you go but you would have more up travel. Travel stays the same, your just changing your ride height.
