I bought a used 14 dcsb and it sits up a bit because it has 275-60-20 tires on ae 012 wheels. I was told that when it was sold new the dealer installed a lift. This is a NON trd sr5 truck so how do I tell if it's lifted. Looks like there is a 1" spacer on top of the coil springs and no blocks on the rear. I'm lost on what they have going on with this thing. Mud flaps were removed I guess and there is a new big O brand tire on the right front and it rubs at full right turn but the left nitto with about 50% tread clears just fine.

Looks like it's probably got a leveling spacer up front... post pics of the coilovers and leaf springs. then we'll know for sure.

^ Agreed. Looks like the rear is stock.

The fronts almost looks like somebody installed it wrong? I can't really figure out what's going on there but it for sure isn't stock.

Your rear looks like the standard 4 leaf pack.

your tires should be even left to right, it dangerous and stupid to run different tread patterns and wear amounts on each side of the truck. you can mix and match front vs rear but not driver vs passenger side.

BTW you have a spacer leveling kit up front, and stock rear.

I understand what ur saying about the tires. I am going to replace them and most likely get different wheels. I would like to go with maybe 18" wheels. The 20"s look too big for the tires that I can fit IMO

Ok so if I want to start from scratch what can I do to lift it properly. I would like to do maybe a 3" which should lift it a bit more than now if I'm correct. Right?

Ok I checked toytec and I'm not sure what will work. Do I use standard struts up front with the new coils or do I go 3" spacers front and aal rear or blocks. Never going to be off-road only driving through the field while hunting. Just want the lift for looks.

ya that's a top plate spacer 'lift', the cheapest crappiest of all lifts. it simply pushes your coilover down, which can lead to premature wear problems long term if you are getting off the pavement, but if you are gonna get some OME parts up front soon don't worry about it, enjoy the truck.

If ride quality is not a concern than a spacer lift will work. Same thing with blocks. Otherwise at least do bilstein 5100's up front for leveling and AAL in the rear. Not that expensive and way better ride quality than a spacer lift.

since you don't plan to use the truck for much off road duty you can get away with adding the adjustable bilstein front struts/shocks and use your stock coils. you will find improved handling over spacers doing this up front. then out back if you do an add a leaf you will get a firmer ride and the ability to carry some weight without instant sagging, if you ever plan to add a cap go this route for sure. alternatively a block with keep the ride the same as it is now. either way you will also want longer rear shocks so you don't 'top out' the shocks going over bumps which is annoying and rides like crap.

yea adjustable billies up front and you can set it to 2.5 inches and i would do an 1.5 inch AAL in the rear. That will give you the look you want and since youre doing the bilsteins up front you might as well get them in the back too but i wouldnt worry about getting longer rear shocks. An extra 1.5 inches wont do any harm to the stock length shocks
