Whenever I apply the brakes my steering wheel shakes. What could be the cause of this? Anybody have any possible suspects?

rotors could be warped more then likely. new pads and rotors should solve that

Yeah most likely rotors, keep in mind even a brand new set can be warped/need turned. You could try having those turned, if there's still enough meat on them.

does turning tires to black wall out count? How bout added snug top rebel.
Warped rotors, tires out of balance, or wheel bearings going out are main causes of wheel shake while braking.

I've not had to do a brake job on the Tacoma yet. (and won't for many years)

Are the rotors floaters that wind up being seated by the lugs when the wheel goes on?

If so, an improperly mounted wheel(s) can cause the problem by cocking a rotor(s).

    nothing cool
Is the red graphics a decal also? Because you have the TRD decal too. Or is a decal over a decal? My mind is blown if so:eek:

Looks good either way with those Jester wheels with red accents. Like others said, def check your brakes and rotors since it only does it while braking.

It is a decal. It is custom cut to fit around the TRD decal. :D

he said it happened when braking. its most likely the cause. I didn't go too far into the link you posted because I don't really care but I don't think he is racing his Tacoma like your link is talking about overheating rotors. but thanks for the info and call out. haha

To the OP...I'm having the same problem, trying to wait it out until warmer weather so I can change the rotors and pads.
