So after installing my OME 885's, Dakars, and Nitrochargers all around I got an alignment done a day after the install and walked out with Caster: 1.8L 1.9R Camber: 0.7L 0.6R and Toe: 0.10 both sides. Was dramatically improved but I noticed that it seemed to wander a lot as time went on. A few weeks later to today, I take it in to look at alignment and it's at Caster: 0.5 L and 0.3 R, camber and toe about the same as before. Would this dramatic caster difference over a few weeks time just be from the suspension settling? I asked them to get it as close as possible to 2.1-2.4 Caster and 0 on Toe and Camber and they said that my initial alignment was as close as possible. I would really rather avoid spending 700 dollars on UCA's and installing them and I don't like the idea of having to always be worried about the uniballs but what do you guys think? What UCA tends to be most popular? I'm leaning towards the Camburgs right now.

Your gonna need new UCA's. Contact YotaDan at wheelers for some new Camburg Ball Joint UCA's comes with all you need for about 600.00 shipped.

Any reason in particular you didn't go with a uni-ball?

I live on the East Coast and the Winters here with the sand and salt would have killed them. Way to much upkeep for me compared to sealed Ball Joint.

Are you running OME up front or Icon or something?

It sounds like the spc uca is the right choice for you. It is designed to allow large caster numbers and a variety of different alignment options. There is good info from spc here. Someones asking a similar question here.

We have the part on our site. Please pm me if you want to talk about the features or price.

Do you think you will be changing to ext travel coilovers in the future? If so maybe the camurgs would be smart so you dont have to buy twice, i dont think they can generate the alignment numbers of the spc though

I have the Camburg ball joint UCA's. I am very happy with them. I just had my alignment done yesterday and ended up with caster 2.8L 2.9R camber .03L .05R and toe is 0.05 both sides.

Camburgs are more money but I think so worth it. I had Light Racing, mine sucked I had bushing issues, and the arm cracked due to the bushings freezing. But anyway I found the ball joint assembly on the Light Racing very confusing compared to the Camburgs.

2012SilverSport your truck is awesome. Hopefully if I beat this thing I can hook my truck up like that.

I think the spc have been improved in a lot of areas. Theu do a lot of car parts conpared to trucks so they dk t really over build like icon TC and burg do.

I personally will get camburg or icon uniball UCAs. But I'm in socal so a uniball shouldn't be too bad for me. And I want the ext travel for the desert

I think ext travel Icon's are a very possible future mod but I don't think I really need the slightly extra travel and the squeak and maintenance issues of a uniball. Looks like Camburg BJ UCA's are the ones for me. Thanks for all the replies guys.

No worries, let me know if you have any questions. I am very happy I went with the BJ Camburgs. I also didn't want the added maintenance and didn't want to deal with the noise. If I needed the extra strength and travel of the uni-ball UCA I would have gone with an Long Travel set up, but these are perfect for my needs.

I had to go 2.5-3 to fit the 285's and keep them off the cab mount as much as possible. I did have some minor trimming to the aft fender liner but am good now during normal street and moderate off-roading. I do slightly hit the cab mount on the drivers side in reverse at full turn.
