Alright guys so other day I went up to maunakea (long steep hard gravel road with ALOT of Wash board) my rear end was hopping all over the place I couldn't even get traction. I had to go really slow in order for my rear to stay on the ground. It felt as if my rear end was as stiff as a rock.. I was bouncing all over the place n other trucks were going around me as I watched there rear ends really eat the bumps up. How do I fix this!?

This is my first independent truck.I'm usually on old sku sas Type but needed a 4.door for my kids so I have had the truck now for about a mnth n was really expecting it to ride really smooth or at least better than my str8 axle.

I have a 6" sesspension with 3" body personally I don't like the body loft but that how I got it.. I has fabtech dirtlogics n my rear is blocked..

Would taking out the block and adding a leaf pack instead make my ride better cause I would think that it would become stiff with all those leafs. It almost felt as if I had no type of spring on my rear at all like the axle was bolted right to the frame IT WAS BAD..

GOT TO THE POINT WHERE THE ROAD WAS A LITTLE SLANTED TO ONE SIDE N THE BACL OF MY TRUCK WAS DRIFTING SIDE WAZE DUE TO THE HOPPING..

WOULD GETING SOME.BETTER SHOCKS HELP AT ALL ALSO MAYBE SOME RESI'S ..

Please any advice would be great I could put up some pics of my truck if you guys wanna see. Thanks for checking this out

I drive a lot of forest service roads due to my job and I experience the same thing with my AAL. Buddy of mine has a 1st gen with dakars and gets minimal hop so I'm inclined to say that it's definitely both the rear springs and shocks that are causing the problem.

You pretty much have a street truck that's the problem. Did you try 4x4 for better traction?

imagine a skate board and a bicycle going down the same street... the skateboard is jarring a harsh as the bike is not.. lower the psi in the tires for a smooth ride.

    Shocks only help so much.

Alright so street truck.. what makes it that? The fact that it's lifted 6"?? I live in Hawaii n going high I sorta the thing to do so all these trucks feel like mine? Dnt be right!? So is there anything I could do to make my "street truck" more off road friendly? So the 20's are an issue if I go with 18's n 10.5 instead of my 20's with 35x13 it would help right. N also would a leaf pack help if so which leaf pack is best for a soft ride? I have airbags so I'm not worried about when I have weight. I had my 4x4 on yes. Thanks for all the advice guys

I already advised Dakars in my first post. Yes that is a leaf pack. Stock one is garbage honestly.

All pro also makes a leaf pack
