3" Lifts...

here it goes again.. another 3" lift question... i would like to lift my 09 Tacoma... not exactly sure what kind of lift though.. well brand that is.. i hear alot about the toytec lift... i will be wheeling it when i can.. but probably going to be highway most of the time.. and when i wheel it, it wont be hardcore.. just some mud holes... a small hill easy stuff like that... im looking to spend about $2k... any inputs would be nice.....i would prefer that the lift come in a package.... i was on wheelers and im thinking about getting the IVD package.. and then i saw the remote resevoir? thats the difference?.. also i want an AAL... Deavers?.. what consist of a full package? and tires... im hoping to run 33's.. is there really rubbing? do i need to trim? im thinking either nitto mud grapplers or some MT baja claws..? any size issues with the stock rim?



Im also waiting on an all pro bumper, and some rock sliders from revenge fab

You will rub with 33s, minor trimming required. If you wheel seldom you shouldn't need the reseviors, just my $.02. I would run the toytec. Get the 5100 shocks with the AAL.

thats about it. Deavers and the IVD's are great choices. new upper control arms are a nice option but not needed.

Ya stay away from spacers and blocks. Shocks work by converting mechanical energy to kinetic energy (heat) and the oil dissipates it. The reservoir provides more oil to help dissipate that energy

yes that kit is a great kit!

 

What I listed was the bare minimum. The link you posted is great, get all the shims and drop brackets include the carrier bearing drop as well. For incase.

 

what does the front diff drop kit do?
