hey guys well its my birthday and i got a little cash so I'm wanting to do the Ome suspension lift kit from toytec. i have an 08 access cab TRD offroad. i want to do the 885 coils and the complete dakar leaf pack in the back. i want 3" of lift. toytec says the front will have 3" with a top plate spacer. will i be too high in the front with the top plates? i want to be level but i you have to choose, i would rather be a tad high in the back.

    Thanks for the help!

If you go up 3" in front and approx 3" in the rear with Dakars , you won't be level , you'll have factory rake just 3" higher

Well , consider what you are asking .

Lets say you have 2" of rake now for example

If you go up 3" in the front and 3" in the back , you still have 2" of rake , the truck is just 3" higher

Ok that makes sense lol. I've seen that you've posted on this subject before. So let me run this setup by you, full OME lift with 885 coils, no top plate spacers, with the full Dakar lead pack but I remove the 3rd leaf. That should be fairly level correct?

885's with spacers and Dakars with the 3rd or top overload removed is more likely to result in a level stance

What are your hub to fender measurements now pre-lift ?

I'm sitting right at about 20" in front and 23" in the back

So theoretically putting 885's up front and nothing out back would level you

Measure from the centre of the wheel hub to the underside of the fender directly above the hub vertically

So you basically have the 2" of rake I mentioned before , so keep that in mind when you decide what to add for front and rear heights if you want to level or reduce your rake

well i don't want it to look like I've only leveled the front. this is all kind of confusing to me. if I'm gonna spend a good amount on a lift i want it to be noticeably higher, not just level if that makes sense. what would you sugest?

I have the 885's in front with trim packer and Dakar's in back with ome struts. I have 3" gain in rear and about 2.5" gain in front. I bought a set of ½" spacers for the front. Would have bought 887's had I known. The spacers go on today we will see what the diff is. Right now I am on 33" tires and get some rub up front from the side view it looks a little low in front. I have a camper shell which I assumed would drop the rear a little but nope. BTW I took pics at an angle and turn camera to give lvl appearance I will take level before after shots and post later today.

If u want 3" in the front you might as well get the 887 coils instead of the 885s with spacers..885s will get you roughly 2.5"

That's why I have to do spacers the 887's were not available.

Not too noticeable in pics but no more rub. Drives and feels more level. Highly recommend ½" spacer if you have 885 and dakkars.

I had the same doubt about which way to go. But went with the 887 in the front and Dakar's in rear. 3' all the way. 887 are bigger. My truck rides fantastic. It got stiff but a good stiff. Not a ruff stiff. You won't need any spacer. But will need new uca. Caster will be boarder line. But my truck sit just right. I bought the complete ome set with new spc UCA fRom HEadstrong. Everything was 1500. I had bad experiences with spacer on my f150. Never again.
