Your odometer/tripometer will not show the correct miles with your truck running 33" tires. This is why I use a GPS/Map app on the cell phone to get the correct mileage.

If I remember correctly.....a larger tire than stock will show "less" mileage on the odometer. SO you are getting more miles per tank than the truck shows.

 

You're right, because the tire covers more ground each revolution. So I got better than 19.5 mpg? Even though I'm not going to get near 300 miles out of a tank?

 

I don't use the gas gauge for figuring mpg....too much play in it. I just fill up the tank.....drive (the more you use from the tank, the more accurate)....record the amount of gas I used to fill it up again.....and divide that # of gallons into the miles on my GPS.

I actually gained when I went from 33 to 35... I cruise the freeway at a lil lower rpm.. and if I remember right w my 35's u add .4 miles for every 5.... so if the trip meter says 300 its actually 324 miles

 

Awesome! So what is your gas mileage? And are you regeared? If I can do the lift, wheel spacers, and tires and get away without a regear, then I'll do it. And how's the power difference between 33's and 35's? I lost a ton of power switching from 31s to 33s.....obviously.

I get 11 to 17 mpg I swear. It's up n fucking down just like gas prices.

All I know is the gas station is winning no matter how I look at it. FUCKERS
