What is shocking to me is that you've read this thread and still want all that lift! :)

I'm unfamiliar with RCD, so I'm no help here.

It should only be about 6". And, it's not for me...it's for my son's truck. You know how kids like the mall crawlers. :D He wants 6" and 35s. He will get it because I love building trucks. I have a '89 RC 4x4 with 35s and a 2014 RC 4x4 with 285s setting in the driveway. We will have a lot of good times building his truck. We are picking it up today.

You must have a garage shelf full of tire shine :)

That's cool that you do that with your son. The boy I inherited is 9 and likes to go wheeling with me but I think video games are still his favorite thing.

LOL...tire shine. I keep them pretty clean for about a year, then they stay pretty dirty. My '89 still has mud all over it from last April (turkey season) :D

It's all good. Actually, the '89 does have a Rough Country drop bracket lift on it. :D The '14 has OME/Bilstein and the '15 will get RCD and OME coils.
Nice truck, by the way. Reminds me of an '04 that I had.

Here's the '89. It's not nearly as clean any more because I pretty much only use it hunting.

    Bumpy as in firm?
I love how stiff the c/o's are for corners and when you start to beat on them off road.

Like as in I couldnt even drive down a paved road without the front end bouncy violently. I backed them off a 1/2" and it got better so thats defiantly the problem. Hopefully springs will eliminate the problem..I cant go any lower than 7" of lift or im loosing so much at the cross member

It's like the coilovers are hitting the internal bumps causing the clunk/hard bounce

    Yes
It is not uncommon for a DB truck to sit at 7" over stock height in the front. Just putting the DB kit on = 6" and generally by the time you level the truck and tweak the taco lean etc you end up around 7" over stock. The truck has a 2" + rake stock and most of the DB kits give you 6" in the front with the DB and a 4" block with around a 1" AAL in the rear so when you throw the whole kit on you end up raked low in the front. A lot of people prefer to sit level and when you level the truck out ta-da you be at 7".

Its weird almost climbing down into my truck now vs throwing myself in it. Honestly, I don't miss the old one though.
