I was actually able to fit 14's by doing a hoop and new axle tabs. Learned a cool trick for measuring leaf pack flex limits during that process. First jack up the ass end as high as you possibly can and put jack stands under it. Jack it up much higher than needed just to get tires off because you will need room to droop the leaf pack completely. While your leaf pack is on the truck measure the thickness of the leaf pack. Then while the pack is still on the truck remove your u-bolts and remove all of your leaves but the top one ( which is usually the top two due to the wrap ) so you are leaving the main leaf connected to the truck. Then measure the thickness of the remaining one or two leaves, subtract that from the total pack thickness and then cut a 2x4 chunk to match that thickness and serve as a mock up spacer. Put your u-bolts back on with that wood spacer in place in place of your other leaves. Then your leaf pack will be so weak you can very easily flex it to its compressed and extended limits with just a floor jack. image.jpg image.jpg That allows you to easily measure and plan where your top hoop and axle tabs will need to be.

Yes, those bds/fox rear shocks are shy of 30" extended and about 17" collapsed. Im not sure If I would actually gain any travel with them relocated though. Probably just easier to measure for new shocks if I were to buy the expo's

The leaf pack is just a pile of 10 pieces of metal with small bolt through the middle...take that bolt out and you can do whatever you want. Are you wanting to add a 1/4 or 1/2" to compensate for the weight of your bumper and full size spare ?

If you have not done it before and you want to come down to SD I can help you with it. If you are adding more thickness or even a shim you do have to buy a couple of those new center pin bolts which are cheap. They come really long and you simply chop them off when you are done.
