Spacers or shocks??

I'm interested in leveling my truck. I'm planning of keeping stock size tires, but I just want to raise the front a couple of inches. I've been doing some research and have come up with two options. 1) Install front coil spacers, or 2) Install Bilstein Height adjustable front shocks. According to TOYTEC lifts, both options would raise the front of my truck 2.5"

Which would be the easier to install, and which would you guys recommend?

Personally, I would go with the Bilsteins. You can get the better ride, the height, and you can adjust it.

Just my opinion, which I value greatly.

The bilstiens are the way to go. The spacers over time will soften and push through, causing issues. Plus the ride is horrible. If you have the funds and really want to upgrade, throw on a set of donahoe racing or camburg 2.5 coilovers. simple bolt on that will raise your front end 2.5" and give amazing suspension over stock. run you about $1000 though...

Are you saying aluminum spacers will soften and push through? The ride is stiffer with spacers, but I wouldn't call it horrible. That aside, I would say the coilovers would be the easiest install. The Bilsteins and the spacers would probably be equal in installation difficulty and much cheaper than coilovers.

I guess I will provide the minority opinion and say go spacers. If all you want is a level look (like me) just go with the Daystar 1.25" spacers that go on top of the upper strut coil. The truck looks level, because of the mount point the ride is unchanged, and your only out 60 bucks. Here is a link for the spacers I bought http://www.wheelersoffroad.com/05uptacodstrlift.htm. This place also offers the 2.5" spacer for a TRUE leveling but if you want that much lift then I say go with new shocks.

i didnt notice a ride difference in mine either...and i also havent seen a need for an alignment after mine...no pull...maybe a slight toe in...but i havent seen any abnormal wear

I had mine aligned after the spacers, the tech said the camber was out pretty good. It only cost me $80 at the dealership.
