I'm going to be fabing up some shackles for my tacoma to give me another inch of lift in the back. Is it true that 2'' longer shackles yeild 1 '' of lift.

The stock shackle lenght is approx 5 1/4'' so if I make the new ones 7 1/4 inches long that should give me a 1 inch lift increase right.

I don't wanna make it to high, just enough to make the back level to the front.

    Thanks.

    Your calculations are correct.

Careful that you don't go overboard with a shackle lift without extending your bumpstops as well or you run the risk of negative-arching your springs. Just something to consider.

Thanks for the reply. Good advice on the bumpstops. My springs are preety well anyway with 150 000 miles on them. The shackles are just to hold me over until I get some aftermarket spring packs.
