removing one leaf is easy and kinda dangerous...i do that type of stuff al the time.....
1.jack veh up remove tires put on jack stands on frame not axle let axle hang

2.place floor jack under axle on one side to support it.

3.remove the ubolts and possibly the shock (just unbolt the lower end)

4.use jack to allow axle to drop away from spring pack.

5. place two good c-clamps on the spring near the center bolt.

6.slowly using hand tools (no impact guns) remove center bolt from pack.

7.slowly undo c-clamps evenly so one isnt farther apart then other till the pack is loose.

8. pull out the leaf you want, (i suggest not the bottom one but next up)

9.place clamps back on pack minus one leaf...push bolt through, use clamps to pull the pack back together till you can get nut on center bolt then use combination of clamps and tightening the center bolt till the pack is back together..

10. re-assemble that side and move to other..repeat process..

having the axle hanging and using the jack to lower it out of way is important but you also want to watch that you dont let it go to far hurting brake lines!
