looking to get a 6" suspension lift kit. there are just so many options.

i may have narrowed it down to 2:

procomps stage 1
http://4wheelonline.com/Products.asp...oductId=242044

vs.

fabtechs 6 Basic System for 05-07 Toyota Tacoma 4Wd / 2Wd 6 Lug k-7000

http://4wheelonline.com/Products.asp...roductID=72005

Well ill tell you one thing procrap or fagtech both suck because they are drop bracket lift which only lift your truck you wont be gaining any offroading benefits with them. you will actually loose travel and will not allow your truck to have the stering geometry that it needs for offroading. personally go with a 3in lift put some 33's and you will be much happier in the long run.

how does it not gain offroading benefits if the entire car is higher

with the 6 inch lift it takes a big cradle and you bolt the front diff. into it.. it hangs up on everything and the only way you make the diff. higher is bigger tires.. its not best for offroading. your best bet is to get a good set of coil overs and maybe UCA's with a small diff drop and a alcan leaf pack in the back.. they custom make them for your specific needs and they will give better flex while still retaining your use of the bed of your truck and different back shocks.

Take a look at Camberg lift spindels they are 4 inch. and you can add coil overs to get more out of like another 2 inch and do custom leaf pack in the back. I had a 6 inch fabtech with custom king coils in the front on my 99 and i liked it all lot. just got tyerd of getting in and out of it that big...

ah grass hoppa, so much to learn. drop bracket 6 in lifts are just that, lift kits. not performance suspensions. the basic kits are just really really big spacers and you pay a crap load for it. if you plan on using the truck offroad w/ the 4WD and actually offroading then stay away from any 6 inch lift kit. once you put one on. your stuck w/ it.
