Toytec AAL help.

If i install a toytec aal will I need to buy new rear shocks?

what is the best brand (quality) aal for about 1.5-2.00'' of lift in the rear?

 

you wont need new shocks but they will give you more travel. i have the toytec aal and it works as advertised.

I have a toytec AAL.

With the OEM bilsteins the ride was pretty damn harsh, horrid really...lol. I bought some OME shocks and the difference was AMAZING. The truck rides VERY well.

My suggestion is to get shocks if you can. I've ridden in both OME and 5100s. The 5100s were a bit firmer than my OME set-up.

Also, the factory bilsteins weren't really made to be used in conjuction with a 1.5"-2.0" lift. They bottom out when they extend fully, especially on bumps. They are fine temporarilly, but by no means a set-up to be used for the long haul.

thanks ryan, where did you buy your shocks? i looked on 4 wheel parts.com and they didnt have any for my application? Did you have to change out the front shocks with a spacer lift?

 

That's what I have...You could buy the rear shocks seperately as well. Or the fronts. Basically everything you see can be purchased seperately, but you might as well buy the whole kit and save some $$$. Then you'll have a complete set-up.

a little expensive although that would deff be my first choice. I was thinking of 1.5 front spacers+ aal+ rear shocks. Can i get away with stock shocks upfront.

 

I would go 5100's before I went spacer route you get all 4 @ downsouthmotorsprts for $282.99 its a smokin deal

 

I am currently running 5100s at 1.75" in front with 5100s+TSB+TSB AAL in back. The truck rides firmer than stock, but is smoother and handles better.
Zero driveline vibrations.
