ready lift kits?????

a local shop here in kc recommended ready lift 3" susp. kit. but its cheap.. like $425 installed. i only want a 3" lift.. am i gonna be happy with this kit?

ready lift is garbage. very cheap parts. if you go with a spacer lift get the toytec. its made from a solid piece of metal unlike the ready lift.

or even go with the billstein 5100 shocks. they can be upgraded later to coilovers for a decent price.

Here's my take on your situation. Shop says it's a very good lift. Shop can get this kit dirt cheap and turn around and make a huge profit in labor as well as mark-up. If it helps you knowing, I was quoted by 2 different 4x4 shops a price of $320 installed plus $70 for alignment for the Readylift 3" lift. Both shops tell me they install these all the time and never have anyone come back complaining. I know of at least 1 forum member who has 30,000 miles on his Readylift without any complaints or problems. If you have any desire to wheel your vehicle, I think most will tell you that you are making a huge mistake. I have gone back and forth between the Toytec Ultimate Lift kit (overkill for me as I am not wheeling), the OME suspension lift (still probably overkill), and the Bilstein 5100 shocks set at 2.5 with a 1.5" rear add-a-leaf (most economical way next to the Readylift price I was quoted). Readylift claims to maintain your factory ride. Some have said they didn't like the ride of the Bilstein 5100 set up after they did it. Said it was too "harsh." Just when I think I have this lift thing figured out, I find it hard to justify the expense for in my purposes, "an aesthetic lift."
