2.5 Bilstein lift shock or ToyTech 2.5 spacer both do the same right?

    K so here is the question i cant find anywhere,,, If the Bilstein compress the shock from the bottom up....... and the spacer compresses the coil from the top down,,, dont they do the same thing,,, just differnet placement right??? wouldent you get the same ride...

    If you think about it they are both spacing the coil in two different location, or am i just wong...

    It seems to me you would get the exact same lift and ride...

    Please explaine if i am wrong,,,, Also i just want to raise the front just 1 inch higher in the front front and leave the rear stock,,,,what is good way to go,,, will both above get the same result.... thanks guys

    Yes they both compress the spring to get lift, however the 5100 shock is designed to be used with a preloaded spring the stock shock is not so ride quality will be better with 5100s they also let you adjust between 4 lifts heights so you can just level your truck like your talking about.

    3 lift heights. The first setting is stock height.

    You are correct.

    This is the case with all coil-overs. They compress the coil to achieve lift. The higher the lift the stiffer the ride.

    Toytec TRD PRO LIFT with 1.5 SAW in rear, 255 Coopers, Baja Rack, Southern Style Front Bumper, Warn Wireless Winch, DeMello Sliders.
    You will get a much better ride with the 5100's. It is a little more work to get them installed than a spacer, but in the long run after you put in a spacer lift you will wish you did a 5100 lift instead. Go on the 1.75 setting, it will level your truck out almost perfect.

    So im going to go with the Bilstein Shock, that seems like the better way to go,,, 1 question is if I go with the shocks and set them at 2.5 in the front and stay stock in the rear,,, will the truck be level, or will the truck sit nose high... I want it to sit nose high just a tad...

    Spacer lifts move the shock body lower which means that the shock will bottom out early when the suspension compresses. Since the bumpstop remains in the same place, you run the risk of your shock becoming your bumpstop and you'll snap the shock in 2.

    go with the 5100's. you will have a much better ride quality. take it from a guy who has a spacer lift
