axle shims??

`do you need longer u bolts to install shims? i also have a 2 aal already installed.

 

As long as you have a little thread showing past the u-bolt nuts you should be fine.

 

well i dont know i havent put the axle shims in i jus wondering if once the shims are in if the stock u bolts will work

 

They are not big at all. All you need to worry about is if you have enough thread to tighten the nuts.

 

ok i think i going to order new ones from toytec cuz i think once i get the shims in i wont have alot of thread left

 

Thats a good idea. They are not expensive. better to be safe than sorry.

 

ok thanks i just ordered the carrier bearing drop axle shims and u bolts. i got bad vibes since i put the billys on and the aal

 

Very good idea to order new u-bolts. It's NOT a good idea to reuse u-bolts because they don't stay tight as well as new ones will.
