Question about WHEEL RUB 285/70/17

I put in a 3 inch FOX suspension lift front/back with 285/70/17

I also got a body mount chop and removed the plastic in the wheel wells.

I still get slight rubbing when almost fully turned and a little flex.

Can I lift the body up a bit, maybe about 1 inch, ontop of the 3 inch suspension lift?

Im wondering if this will be a safe/good way of reducing the wheel rub?

I have the same set up and i get a little rubbing. I chopped the wheel wells too but I only get rubbing when my wheel is cranked and it doesn't even rub that much so it doesn't bother me. The body lift solution sounds doable tho. I am panning on 3 more inches of lift soon tho so i dont know that i will do anything about it now.

You should probably post your wheel specs and what UCA's you have. There's some guys on here that'll be able to help you real quick once you give them an idea of what you're working with. And they will probably talk you out of (or try to) a spacer lift.

no rubbing on UCA. wheels are correct backspacing and offsett. its 4.5 and 0. no pics yet.

no i had two guys from toyo crawlers.com who work for Toyota do the cut for me, very good very professional.

the tires seem to be rubbing against the lowest corners of the wheel well (in front of and behind the tire)

no pictures yet, no camera

There is no reason a bodylift shouldn't be safe?! Tons of people have bodylifts and many wheel with them. Most hardcore wheelers say against them but they hold up pretty good. You aren't stacking spacers here if thats what you are talking about.

Honestly is hard to help without pics. It's like the blind leading the blind. You get no where. No camera phone, friend, or neighbor with one.

You sure its your wheel wells and not your fender flares?
CLICK ME That is a link to a thread i posted on where i had trimmed. Since then i have trimmed even more and had my cab mounts chopboxed. Pics of my cab mounts are in my gallery.

Get a friend and do the curb test. Have your friend run up a curb (to give you some flex) and have him/her turn your wheel in and out while you inspect to see where exactly it is rubbing. Do that on both sides mark and cut.

what is the wheel width? what tires are they? not all 285/70/17's are the same exact size, some have larger outer lugs that cause more rubbing.
