Toytec ulk cant adjust coilovers

I just installed the ulk with the adjustable front coilovers. The directions say they come from the factory at 2" but I Want to adjust them to 3. Ive been searching and most people say to adjust the collar upwards to add more lift. When i try to adjust the collar its very hard to turn and feels as if im twisting the shock and i dont want to break the shock. Any suggestions?

Yeah the tires are off. Not sure wha the springs are rated at. They are the ones that come in the toytec ulk. Im using a pipe to add more levereve and they still dont budge

ULK Adjust

How long have they been on there? At the very least, you need some good lube on the threads, and if they've been on and have crud maybe let some penetrating oil sit for awhile. You must use both spanners; if you're twisting the shock it sounds like maybe you're only using one??
Wheel off, jacked up to take weight off and lube...
My first time I tried it dry, and wouldn't budge. Sprayed some Break Free clean-lube-penetrant w/ Teflon and it turned pretty easy. Keep the spanners perfectly at 90 degrees to the length of the shock, they bend pretty easy if mis-aligned.
I had to re-adjust mine twice, the springs settled a lot within the first 100 miles or so.

Spray some WD40 on the threads, that should help.
