I purchased through the group buy the complete lift kit offered by Toytec (Eibach 1.6" Lift Springs, Four 5100 Bilstein Shocks, Add-A-Leaf). I had a local shop install the kit but I think they set the bilstein's at the wrong setting because my truck rides like shizz even though it looks sweet.

Does anyone know what the front shocks should be set to?
    Is this the correct setting?
Is it going to hurt anything to continue driving like this?

The people at Toytec are awesome!:D

Looks like they set them at 2.5". So that plus the springs is 4.1"??? maybe

What did you ask them to set it to? Looks like its probably at 1.75 and the coils complete the rest of the 2.5 inch lift. If it rides stiff then thats normal. That part of the sacrifice you gotta make with a lift of that type.

That would definitely be too rough. What size tires do you have?

Take it back get your money back and make them set it right....

Right now it's on the top setting, the little c-clip should be in the last slot.

I'm just concerned because I don't want to brake anything expensive.

Yeah Toytec had it in the instructions but they "do this everyday" was the response from the shop. Think something will break if I keep it like this?

LMAO!!! The dummys set the 5100's at the top height, AND put lift springs on!! No wonder the ride is crap. The 5100's need to be on the .85" setting or lower.

Wow, mine are at the .85 and it is firm but works great.
At the 0 setting the springs alone lift it 1 1/2" at the 2 1/2" setting I bet it is very stiff!!!!

My stock springs at 1.75 are on the verge of stiff... can't even imagine 600+ lb springs at 2.5! Exactly why I like DIY! If it's messed up atleast I'm the dummy and I learn. Paying someone to be a dummy would just piss me off!

From my experience when any shop or mechanic says "don't worry we do this every day" you should worry!!

My shop told me that then proceeded installing the spring seats on my 5100's upside down!

It's at the shop now and they are changing it to the .85 setting.

All of this does have me thinking how cool it would have been to go with the 6"

    Photos to follow!

The people at toytec are fantastic!
