here is my deal. i have a 08 4wd DC tacoma and am wanting to lift it up. i cant go any higher than 4 inches. i am not wanting to spend too much. i am wanting to find a 4 inch since its as high as i can go but cant seem to find one. does anyone know of a 4 inch suspension lift? and also i have found a 2.5 inch rough country lift for $250 and is that the same as the 3 inch because it also levels it out too.? and it looks like a lot of tacomas have the rough countrys or tuff countrys. and last since i cant find a 4 inch i will probably settle with the 3 inch so how big of tires will i be able to run? i have 265 bfg all terrains. i am thinking 33's is all ill be able to fit.
    so?

watch out anything above 3 inch without a differential drop bracket lift will cause your cvs to die, so i think your only option is the 4.5 inch from rcd or the longtravel kit from total chaos

Even with a diff drop, your endangering the CV's. X2 on the 4.5 RCD.

and whats the difference in the rough country 3 inch and the 4.5 rcd? the rcd is 2000 bucks and the rough country is only 250? why is this?

The Rough Country is a top plate spacer lift. It can wear out your ball joints, and damage your shocks.

yea and with the Rcd lift it provides new shocks, 5100s which will much improve your ride, and if you go with the spacers its going to be a bad ride, and the blocks in the rear will ride badly and eventually wear out your leafs

If your gonna drop the money on RCD, u might as well go Fabtech basic 6" so you can completely clear 33's

    that's the Ultimate Kit...
little over your budget, but well worth the life time warranty everything in the kit comes with.

a true life time investment to your suspension, meaning, once you put this on, the only thing down the road you will need to deal with, is your rear leaf pack.

so that lift actually levels it and lifts everything up 3 inches? and would i only be able to run 33's or bigger?

That has the leafs as well so you are not just leveling it. Lifting front and rear. You can fit 33"s with minor fender trimming.
