I have decided I want to ditch the rims and take my truck in a different direction. I am planning on buying the toytec OEM 3in lift and I want to use the stock 16's with new tires. I was wondering if i could fit a 285/75/16 on it? or should I put the 265/75/16 bfg mt km2? any advice on my new tires and size with the 16's?

on my 07 i ran 305/70/16 on stock rims with 1 1/4 wheel spacers(from trail-gear.com for $79 a pair) and they only rubbed on the front plastic which i melted out of the way with a heat gun. and the rear inner wheel well which was also melted. i did still have a slight rub at full lock going in reverse on the inner wheel well. but it still articulated well with the big meats. see middle pic on my signature. on my 09 i am planing on 285/75/16 with the same spacers

If you go 3" you will want new uca's to correct alignment. They perform well as well. Cheapest is 450 all the way up to 1000

Exactly how bad would it be to run the spacers so that you wouldn't have to do any trimming if you go with the 285/75's?

dont get the spacers. it would be about $200 for spacers all around. i just got moto metals 951 for $100 a wheel from discount. then sell your old rims for $50 per and for the same price have a way sicker truck!
