Alright so here is my problem...the set screw to lock the collar in place is stripped and frozen. I drilled it out a bit and tried a bolt extractor which didn't work.

My thought is to drill it out completely and retap it. I don't really want to attempt this with the collar on the shock. Is there a way to get the collar off without doing a full rebuild? Maybe compress the springs and slip the bottom perch off so you can get the coils off? They don't need a rebuild, I just can't adjust them.

Seems like a waste to ship them to ICON for such a simple problem??

    Any suggestions?

Sorry I cant help you with your problem. I would've tried the same things. Either using a bolt removal kit or like you said having to drill it out and re-tapping. But on another note.. How do you like the ride of your icons?
