Want to upgrade the suspension on my truck what are some good sets for a decent price

I would like to upgrade from stock and get better suspension but i have no idea what to get! Any ideas? Im looking for something thats good quality but not too expensive. Any suggestions? names, sites, and prices would be great! maybe some pictures of ur suspension too! Thanks

 

What do you want to upgrade ? Just shocks? rear leaf springs? Do you want to stay at stock height or lift it some also?

I was lookis at the 7100 seriies are those good? i wanna be able to go wheeling and not having to worrk about screwin up my truck

This maybe a stupid question but can you replace the rear leafs with a coil suspension?

 

OK, I have to chime in and make a recommendation for OME. My Old Man Emu shocks have completely transformed my truck. They rock! I notice the difference in all terrain situations (highway, dirt roads, sand, high speed, low speed, parking lot bumps, etc).

Get the front shocks and springs and the rears for a few hundred (around $200 I believe) more then the 5100s everyone previously has been discussing. OMEs are a major step up from those.

Know I've heard many say that you're really just paying for the OME name and that the shocks aren't really that great.. after all they're made by Monroe AU. But I got them and they are awesome!

The TRD Off-road package shocks and springs were so soft and springy.. it was aweful driving at any reasonable speed off-road.. bouncing all over the place.

Anyway, you have many choices certainly. My recommendation.. OME.

Which is the better of the two... OME or the Billstein 5100's???

 

I honestly dont know. Your gonna get alot of different responses based on peoples personal experiences. And from what I've read and heard people love both of these lifts. Both ride smooth and achieve the look that most people are trying to attain. I know that the Bilstein 5100's are sock length and you wont gain any travel. Im not so sure on how much if any travel you gain over stock with the OME kit. talk to the toytec guys. they carry both setups and can give you all the info. ill try to find some more info on the OME for ya
