Billy suspension setup advice???

I have been thinking about doing a suspension lift on my rig for a while now. I am a poor college kid and I want to get something pretty good but not really spendy. I was thinking about doing Billies all the way around and set up front at the tallest setting with a new leaf pack in the rear. I don't really offroad a bunch, just when the old man and I go hunting old Wielly White Tail.

1. Is this a good a pretty good set up?
2. Should I get a new leaf pack or is an AAL fine?
3. Would it be a good idea to get lift springs for the front and set the shocks lower rather than doing the stock springs with shocks set all the way up?
4. Recommended tires and size?
5. Any other advise or recommendations?
6. What can I do to avoid geometry issues," the shutter"?

I just did Billy 5100's on my truck, the ride is improved. I also installed a long AAL from Stanley Springs, and I really like it. I expected a harsher ride, but not really more firm but still retains the flex. I would recommend it if you are on a budget especially if you don't off road a bunch.

Also, at 2.5" in the front I have no shutter problems. I suppose if you were worried about it you could go with a diff drop.

Im running Billys at 2.5" in the front with the Icon AAL, the set up is really nice handles great on the dirt and on street, but i also have my sway bar removed.

I have 5100's at 2.5" and 1.5" AAL and it's ok but there are better ways to get the 2.5" - 3' of lift
You might think of adding 885 springs with your 5100's set set at 0" and some UCA's so you can get your alignment correct, thats my next mod.
The 5100's are ok for the lift but the 885 springs are better and without adding some UCA's you can't get enough caster so you truck will wonder a bit.

This is a nice lift for the money and yes add the 1/4 top plate spacer for the left side if you don't want the lean.
The UCA's are also a must if you want to drive like it dose now after you lift it. Total Caos,Camburg and Light Racing all make great UCA's but I'm going with the LR's because I don't do much wheelin.

Ok are the ucas something that I need to do right away or can a wait for a bit to save up some more money? How will it affect the ride of the truck, will it just wonder a bit because of the caster/

By the way 4milestogo I took a look at some of your pics....nice rig. It looks really clean and mean. I like the headlights, looks bitchin!!!

Thanks, yes you can wait on the uca's you just won't have the correct camber and caster settings.
