uniball conversion kit for lower ball joint

I want to replace my UCA's with some tc uniball UCA's. That would take care of my upper ball joints but what about my lower ball joints. For the old tacomas like the 1992 model, I have seen lower ball joint conversion to uniball. Do they have anything like this for a 2nd gen. Any help is appreciated thanks

that seems like a good product you can get a super beefy mid travel for the price of a basic lt kit i only wish camburg made one like that

 

i'm sure if camburg made one the price would be more reasonable, TC seems to over price their stuff IMO

 

Just get some Moog ball joints, they are pretty beefy.

 

any one know anything about these moog ball joints. I never herd of them before. would they be better than the stock ball joints.

 

yeah they are expensive but right now my coilovers gave me 3.5" of lift. I do have a 3/4" diff drop. but i think the coilovers being jacked up that high might put to much stress on the ball joints. so i figured id just replace them with the tc uniball ones. Im probably going to lower the coilovers down a half of a inch this weekend though.

 

wow, 3.5" of lift? that must be a harsh ride, i'd lower those things for sure

The ride is very smooth! I have a regular cab so their is a big weight difference. The coilovers are pre adjusted to 2.5. When i installed them it gave me 4.5"s of lift! So i lowered them. right now they are at 3.5" of lift and the ride is great. Im just worried about my ball joints do you think they will be alright?

 

IM not to worried about my cv's because the 3/4" diff drop should straighten that out a little. With the diff drop its like i would only be lifting my truck 2.75" Now its just the ball joints im worrying about. Thats why i want to convert to uniball.

 

if you can't go lt go with moog ball joints. Moog does a lot of nascar parts, aerospace and have good quality.

anybody know if the moog ball joints are compatible with a LT kit that still uses the ball joint on the LCA? like total chaos and camburg i would assume so but...

 

It is an OEM replacement, so there is no reason it wouldn't work with a kit that designed to utilize the OEM ball joint.

I saw on tc website that it says not compatible with trd brakes or something anyone have any more information about this. Also would this provide more travel? Trying to see if this would be worth it.

you should have no prob running them on your truck, but they're about $1600 and for that price i would just keep saving and go straight to long travl
