Getting my new tires (285/70-17 Duratracs) and an alignment today! I have 300 lbs. of sand in the back of my truck because the Dunlops were so bad that I needed the weight. Didn't get a chance to take that out and am wondering if that will have an effect on my alignment? I plan to take the sand out tonight since I won't need it any more but am thinking I may want to do it prior to the alignment. Any thoughts???

It shouldn't have any affect.....(having the weight in the bed).
I'm pretty sure they'll lift the truck to do the allignment.

Does the sand squat the back down? If yes, then it affects the alignment. You want the stuff in the truck to match the normal driving setup.

    Is the sand in bags?
If so, just have them lift the sand out before the alignment and put the sand back in before going home.
