5100s on tundra

    i know this is a tacoma site but the tundy is just the big brother to ours.does anybody know if the 5100 install is the same on 05 4x4 tundra as 05+ 4x4 tacoma.brother just got some from sonny at downsouth.i printed off the sticky install and sounds(read to myself out loud) like what i looked at on his truck.thanks

    02 ext cab cat-back exhaust, k&n replacement filter, 5100 billy's, hellcreek 1.5" rear spring packs, 882 OME coils, Toytec 2" AAl, stainless brake lines, Light Racing UCA, 1" diff drop, BPV bracket, 4" deck plate mod, 886 fog light backup light mod, tom woods one piece drive shaft, spider trax 1.25 spacer.
    yeah it is for the most part, atleast my friends tundra seemed like it was the same as when we put them on my tacoma. It's a pretty straight forward thing to do, and you'll love them, i know we do.

    Hey pataco,
    Glad you guys got the shocks. Yes, the install process is basically the same thing as the Tacoma. The whole strut assembly comes out, and gets placed in a spring compressor to get the coil off. Set the snap ring on your 5100 to the desired lift height, and re-assemble the strut assembly, using your stock springs and top plates. Hope this helps.....
