Iconi coilovers VS Fox Coilovers VS OME Who wins?

K guys.. What are the pros and Cons Between the Icon Front coilovers and the Fox Front coilovers OME 884 and OME 885? Which one is better quality. I'm looking for something that is good all around (on the road and off road). I have a Downey skid plate that weighs around 70lbs.

Do the Foxes have to be rebuilt as often as the Icons??

 

Dont have really any experance with the OME, but as far as the Icons vs fox just pick a color, they are both exceptional shocks.

 

The ome you can't really compare with the IVDs and Fox's. I have the ICONS and I like them but I'm sure Fox's, King's, etc. Are as good if not better.

 

I ran Ome before my current Fox.
OME Cons - Not adjustable. Must replace whole shock. Cheaper.
OME Pros - Great ride. Stay cool compared to other lower dollar ones.

Fox Cons - Expensive.
Fox Pros- Rebuildable. Adjustable settings for firmness and softness if you get the 2.0's. Great ride. Adjustable heights.

 

Thats cool that you can adjust the Fox for firmness and softness... can you do that with the Icons?

 

you can revalve them.

 

Fox 2.0 are adjustable with a knob. 2.5's are revalveable. Icons are revalveable.

 

Can you revale the 2.0s or only adjust them.

 

Good question. I dont know. But with the knob I dont know why you would need to revalve them.

 

well say if you want your shock more progressive, you can do a flutter stack, so it will be softer on the small stuff but still take the big stuff like a champ.

 

then again if your doing mild offroading you dont need to mess with valving that much, op i would look into the fox 2.0
