Rear Shocks

So ive searched and searched but cant find anything on this. I just installed a set of full arched springs to match my 6" in the front but now and full droop my rear hangs on the shocks. Anybody had this happen before? Should i just measure my shocks and add about 2" for new ones? Oh and here is the new stance for anyone that is curious:

 

best way is to cycle your suspension...

lift the truck up by the frame with the shocks detached at the axle... let the axle droop out and then measure from mounting point to mounting point...

you can also guestimate... stock shock travel is 6.5"

at collapsed length of 14" and extended length of 20", with the new leafs, you will probably want to find a shock that is 16" collapsed and 26" to 28" extended...

you will likely want a 10" or 12" travel shock...

 

Sweet thats perfect. Also has anyone converted the top mount on these trucks to an eye mount rather than a stud?

 

i haven't seen too many folks talk about having done that, but Total Chaos makes an adaptor for that...

 

So i am going to go with a bilstein 5125. It will be 17 collapsed and have 12" of travel. Anyone running the 5125?

 

i ran the 5125 for a while... if it can handle jumping, you should be ok...
