I'm glad I had the Toyota shop boys do it, I would be so pissed to drive home with my leaf springs dangling around... bummer bro!

The bolts that hold on the U-bolts and leaf pack on the axle have either come unscrewed or have sheared off the U-bolts.

When that happens SOOOOO many things can happen. And they wont be "shrug off your shoulder" incidents.

Since the 5100 shocks are so much longer than the stock shocks, they have to undo your leaf pack for the shock as well as the AAL. The AAL should be in the center or underneath the real leafsprings.

Those with some Spidertrax would look sick!!!! I cant get over how good they look.

that or the tire/axle could have eaten the bedside, frame, the axle itself and much much more.

No they dont. I have installed them with the truck on the ground, and not touched the leafs, U bolts or the like. If they are dropping the axel to install rear shocks, they are idiots, and you should go somewhere else.

Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
You should name the shop so your fellow Texans don't use them and end up in the same situation.

To some this up I had them do an AAL and 5100's on all four, fronts set at 1.75 and they basically left the u-bolts hand tight. A weeks worth of driving 3 of them worked there way off. Damn glad I caught it!!

Looks like it was serviced at TOD, lol.

+3 on no the 5100 rears are NOT any issue to replace without doing anything except loosening the top nut and the bottom bolt. Squeeze them in place bolt back together. There is no fucking reason whatsoever to mess with the ubolts just to change the shocks. The AAL is why it was jacked with. This is exactly why people need to learn and know about their vehicles...so they can check behind anyone else doing work on their vehicle to ensure it was done and done correctly. Hell, I recheck myself more than once when doing anything like this on my vehicles and I care about it. I damn sure watch and check and verify anything I feel the need to pay for to be done. Glad OP caught it before tragedy occurred. Now, get your money back from them then let them know how much they suck because they obviously don't know or care.

Well, I got it back Friday and they resolved everything but a slight vibration off the line from 0-10mph. I had them install 1/4 inch spacers on the carrier bearing and it seemed to help. The shop manager bent over backwards for me and suspended the tech for sloppy work. They had there #1 tech work on it this time, he was disgusted with the photos I sent and had me come out in the shop and watch the work being done this time. In the end I ended up with my money back and a free window tint out of the deal.

I dont want to expose the shop to any negativity, I believe this is an isolated incident. The shop manager has called me everyday since to see to follow up on the results.
