I just ordered their 3" lift for my pre-runner. My friend has their lift on his '06 TRD and loves it. Hope this helps.

i have their 3" kit with diff drop on my truck and 13000 miles later i've had no problems whatsoever. I did add an additional 1" block to the rear because the truck sat 3/8" higher in the front after the aal's settled in, which also required me to add some longer Bilstein 5100's to the rear. now it looks great though. all together i have $355.00 into my lift. No regrets other then wishing i could afford a 6" performance lift and 35's.

How long did it take for the AAL's to settle? Where did you buy the block and what was the cost? What was the cost of the Bilsteins? I am going to be buying this lift today and want to know what to expect. Thanks!

the aal's settled over a few months of driving and hauling loads in the back. I got the blocks from schucks if i remember right, and they were only $25 with u-bolts. Wherever you end up getting the 1" block kit, make sure it has SQUARE u-bolts with it. The u-bolts in my kit were really long and needed about 3 or so inches to be cut off after you get them bolted up. The Bilstein 5100's ran me $149 from Wheelers off-road in Grants Pass, OR. They are readily available from most 4x4 parts suppliers, including 4-wheel parts if you prefer to order from a "big company." I'd just as well help out a shop thats fairly local to me, especially since they were pretty damn competitive on the pricing.

I know what you mean, I am in Albany Oregon and have the same view on the smaller companies. I will look around here when I get to that point. What is the difficulty level of installing this lift? I have put in one lift in my life, and it was on an old Jeep YJ with straight axles. I know this is a whole different animal but it doesn't look like it will be too tough. Will I need any special tools or will basic hand tools do it? Will I be able to do this by myself in my garage or will I need an extra set of hands to help me? How long did it take you to put the lift on? Thanks!

just basic hand tools, a jack, and some jack stands, but when it comes time to reinstall the front struts with the spacers on them it is necessary to have one person hold down the lower a-arm while the other wedges the strut back into place. originally, the front took about 3 1/2 hours, the rear 1 1/2. Then the blocks took about the same 1 1/2, simply because i had to disassemble everything over again. if you did the aal, block, and rear shocks all at once, then id say about 5-6 hours total as long as you have an idea of what you're doing and arent tool-handicapped. i did the front on a Friday evening, woke up then double checked the front and did the rear sat. morning. this worked pretty good because it gave me a break from it, and i got to come back rested to finish and had the rest of the day to see my achievements.

Good idea. Am I going to run into any problems if I do the blocks along with the AAL immediately? I will have an extra inch height in the rear compared to the front. Will this give me Driveshaft issues or anything else until the springs settle in?

i dont think you should have any issues with this. if you notice alot of driveshaft vibration, then a simple spacer on the carrier for the 2-piece rear should solve it. The rear brake line brackets on the axle will probably need to be bent slightly to face them upwards a little for some slack though(from the factory they are horizontal). all that will take is a little tweak with a crescent wrench on the bracket.

not to hijack this thread(yeah...that never happens), but with,say, a 3inch toytec lift on my prerunner, will i need to extend the brake lines at all??? and will i have to have a diff drop??

tacomaman: as long as you do a aal OR a block to match the front and rear height, then you shouldnt need to extend the brake lines. if they seem a little tight in the rear, then just bend the bracket slightly to give em some slack like i mentioned. as for the diff drop- you don't have a front diff in a 2wd prerunner so you don't have to worry about that part

alright man.....i appreciate the info. i think im gonna go with a toytec 3 inch kit with the rear block, since i already have the rear tsb done. should look pretty cool.

so........how much will this affect my alignment as far as having it aligned normally, and/or make my truck have axle wrap real bad??? cause when i got my new rear springs put on.....it took care of the axle wrap i had before.

the alignment will need to be done immediately after the lift, as far as getting it within factory specs, only my caster couldn't be brought to factory specs. it's not a wear adjustment though and i couldn't even feel a difference when driving mine. i get some axle wrap, but i haven't done the tsb because i already had done the lift so if its better now, then it shouldnt be too bad with the block. i really didn't notice mine get worse with the blocks.
