Bilsteins with or without AAL?

My '01 Double Cab is about to go into the shop for my Bilstein 5100s all around...Do you guys think I should get the AAL in the rear or keep it stock?

I will be towing, but only on the weekends. Thanks!

 

Keep it stock! just slightly lift the front or level it out with the billy's!

 

Toytec says the AAL will give me 2 inches...

 

Damn do you really want 2"? extended brake lines and the like?

 

I just did my Billies all the way around yesterday. I set the front at 1.75 and left the rear alone. Sitting even. Will post pics soon.

 

Just level out the front. If it sags too much when you tow or don't like the look then start messing with the back.

 

Hey man the bilsteins on the front are those just shocks or coilovers? And are they adjustable? Reason im asking is i want to put a heavy duty bumper on the front and i want to fix the sag w/o a lift. I dont want to get into that money and other things you have to correct. I also want to add a winch later when i save some more money and would like to be able to adjust the shocks for the added weight.

 

I just got my Tacoma in to the shop. For the installation of all 4 Bilsteins and an alignment was about $210. Didn't think it was bad! I didn't get the AAL done yet because my Dad and I can do it if the rear sags too much. Getting tires next week. Will post pictures tonight!

 

Here it is out of the shop! Still deciding if the AAL is needed. I'll get some better shots when I wash it and get the new tires on.

Thanks man. I have them set at 2.5". No Add a Leaf in the rear. I love the ride and the lift is just what I wanted! Shot another picture just a second ago.

I got the alignment done with the install, and they said everything went perfect. The ride is a little more firm but to be honest it isn't really noticeable. I like the feel better. Definetely glad I didn't go with a Spacer lift. I actually ended up paying less for these installed than the Spacer lift would have costed me. Go with the Bilsteins, it's worth it.
