OK i've been reading around and looking at all the products on the toytec website. I have a 2001 Tacoma sr5 trd doublecab. I really would like to lift it 3" and clear the 285/75/16 duratracs. I do not want to have a stiff ride! That is really my main concern. I will be doing some light wheeling but not very often (little mud and trail riding). The lift is mainly for cosmetics.

Option 1: Now here is what I am trying to decide on. The 3" lift with the spacers and rear options and rear shock. I would get the AAL option. If i did get this lift i would definitely throw the bilstein 5100's set on 0 up front because i know those spacers are going to make the ride rough. Will the 5100's in the front even help to make the ride smoother? That plus the lift adds up to be around $510 on your site. That would be the cheaper alternative I think. (let me know if there is anything else recommended to purchase with this option, I don't want to mess anything up).

Option 2: The complete OME suspension lift. It is more expensive which is the only reason why I am having to make the decision. Is it worth around $200 dollars more? I have only heard great things about this lift I just need to know how much a difference there will be between option 1 and this lift.

And finally will there be any difference in cost for installation between these two?

And remember price is a factor unfortunately.

    Option 2 FTW!!!

Especially if the price difference isn't a huge issue. I know there are a lot of people that are happy with their spacer lifts-- but why not do it "right" and not leave anything to chance? You won't find many people with that OME set up wishing they had done much different, at least from my humble amount of time here...

dont waste your money on a spacer lift even if it is for cosmetic purposes. Makes the truck ride way stiffer, feels like theres no suspension at all. Spend the extra money youll be happier ya did. Just my 2 cents.

Haha sounds like OME is definitely the way to go. Thats what i figured just wanted to see some input. And yeah definitely dont want to have a shitty ride.

one more questions. Anyone know an estimate of what installation will be?

I just had my OME kit installed two days ago. Right away you notice you can feel more bumps in the road, but it feels smoother if that makes any sense. What used to be rough bumps don't feel so rough anymore.

So, I think it rides better than stock. But everyone's opinion is different.

Well, I think I ended up paying too much... and I know the owner. After taxes and including the alignment.. 600 something... If you call around I think most people said they pay 350-500.
