Tsb + aal

2010 TRD Sport DC 4X with TSB and 2.5 front spacers. Looks pretty level, but would like to regain slight rake. Would i be tempting driveshaft vibration with a 1 inch AAL? Or should I just thro a 1/2 inch block in?

Oh, I am a daily driver, mall crawler. I just want the truck to look like it could do what many are built to do......

I dont think there are many people out there with the TSB trying to add a AAL. I have the same question and haven't got much responce. They only make a 1.5" AAL for the TSB. From what I here you really want to stay away form blocks. I just ordered my AAL from Toytec.

 

good timing with this question......i have an 07 DC 4x4...i do have the TSB springs, and about a month ago, i installed a 1.5in AAL. i got a small vibration from 5 to 10 mph. just this morning i got it to go completely away in literally 10 minutes. i had a piece of aluminum laying around (1.5''x6''x.25'') i used a hack saw to cut two pieces off (dimernsions of about 1.5''x.75''x.25'', drilled a hole in it, and used them to drop the carrier bearing. worked like a charm! if you don't have any aluminum to do this with, or don't have a hacksaw and drill, toytec sells a kit with everythign you need. i think they go for about $10. so 10 minutes or $10 isn't too bad.

btw, i am running a 2.5in lift up front, so essentially the same as you...the 1.5 inch AAL was perfect when paired with the 2.5 front. toytec actually sells an AAL specifically made for the TSB springs

 

I dont have the rear TSB but I just ordered that AAL, I'm curiouse as to how much forward rake I'm going to have, if any at all. I do a lot of towing and hauling so I am wondering if that has cause my rear susp. to sag even more. Currently it seems to be bottoming out on every bump w/o any weight in the bed. Hopefully I wont have much forward rake and wont have to add a lift to the front.

 

tsb back end, toytec tsb aal 1.5"... it was too high honestly.. just barely. CB drop took care of mosst of the vibes, and the 3 dgree shim took car of the rest.. there is a VERY slight "shudder" from zero if you barely hit the gas..
