The only Tacoma I've personally seen running King shocks had a Total Chaos long-travel setup.

I heard 1 guy running the Kings with the stock control arms say the ride was overly stiff. Could have been incorrect valving or the wrong coils in his case.

my boy runs front king coilovers only, with stock control arms, and they seem to be good. A little stiffer than stock but its not really noticeable. I dont see a big difference from stock only that you get the cool look of "king" coilovers. Do you guys off-road a lot? If you are going to fork up some nice $$$ for a performance suspension try looking into other coilover setups also. People think king is the best out there just because a lot of people are running them in desert racing because thats what king shocks are designed for punishing terrains. Try Donahoe racing, sway-away, or even walker evans they have cool set ups not designed for racing because king or fox shock are valved for extreme offroading that most likely you wont do. Chances are you wont get those shocks hot enough to need kings! My 2 cents!

I'll be running Fox 2.5" coilovers in the near future.
