Just ordered Toytec 3''

So I just ordered the Toytec 3'' Spacer lift with the rear blocks. I am excited to get it and put it on the truck! I am still debating over what tire/wheels to get. I want the "deep dish" look to my rims as much as possible without too much fender trimming. How does 285/70/16 sound? Maybe 16x10s with BFG AT KO's? No matter what I get I will be happy to just be sitting alittle above all the other similar Tacos in my area, heheh. Any input from people running similar set ups and/or pics would be great. Thanks.

 

16x10 wheels are pretty wide. I have 16x8's w/285/75/16's and I had to do some extensive trimming. But unless you put another non trimmed Taco next to mine, you could'nt tell. Besides losing the front flaps.

Anyways, congrats on the lift. I just got back fron the mall, and there was a silver TRD Sport parked behind me. We both had equal hight and all, but his back was lifted a bit. Got to say it looked sweet. But im just waiting patiently for my 6"...

 

Thanks for the input. I don't neccesarily have to have 10'' wheels but it would be nice. Really I guess I just want the wheels to stick out alittle and the rims to have the "deep dish" look. As far as that goes: Do you think that could be achieved with the right backspacing? I dont mind doing extensive trimming to accomodate the setup, as long as it doesnt looks s**tty, hehe. I dont do a whole lot of hardcore offroading other than just cruising around the woods. As long as it doesnt rub too terribly bad on-road I will be satisfied.

 

I have the toytec 3" lift w/ 265/70/17 with a 17*9 rim. I have a little rubbing, but don't feel the need to trim ... I just don't turn as hard.

 

10" wheel is way to wide for a 285 width tire IMO, stick with 9 or 8" width.

 

I like your truck man! Mine will be very similar being it's the same color, heh. I am thinking of getting MT Classic II's. Think those would be too plain for our new trucks? I want something easy to clean and sharp looking. I dont mind trimming where neccesary. Where exactly do you rub in the front?

 

As far was MT Classic II's, I have a couple of friends who have them on new vehicles and they look great. One has them on an 06 Jeep, the other has it on a 05 F-150, I'm sure newer Tacomas would be no different. I did a lot of playing around with paintshop before I bought my wheels. O, I rub in front of the wheel weld, but it is only at full turn.

 

i have the 3" toytec as well, but i did the AAL's in the back. My tires are 265/75/16, And I dont have ANY rub at all. I'm thinkin about steppin up to 33" when these tires are done... I'm sure I'll have to do A LITTLE trimming, but for now I'm happy with these.
