HELP want six inch lift but cant weld

Help i need help haha, i want the six inch lift stage two but i read the installation instructions and it said i need to make two thread welds and i dont have a welding machine or know a welder, so the only other option i can possibly think would be either sacrafice and go with a three inch or go with the RCD ... any input on this would be appreciative i have the money for the pro comp so its a full 3 grand so its not money just lack of materials and welding skils

 

Hire a welder...?

 

I think the only welding is to cap the open ends of the cross member that gets cut, so id venture to guess you dont really need to do it, but they recommend it. You can probably just make a clean cut and then give it several coats of paint and be done with it.

nah i read the install and theres like an extend a bracket that you have to weld two threads but i have just decided to go with the toytec ultimate lift and figure out where to get an extra little bit of lift can the tuff country leveling kit work with the toytec coilovers i know its kinda off topic but i was just curious

 

you can NOT stack lifts. you can go with coilovers OR a spacer. you will destroy your truck if you tried to do both.

are you 2wd or 4x4?

Yeah, you could do the toytech+body lift. I wouldn't do it though just because body lifts look absolutely terrible, but that's just my opinion.

Look at all of the frame that sticks out from underneath the truck. I just cringe when I see body lifts.

 

Just do the 6 inch and hire a welder for 20 minutes. Your truck will look badass. As far as stacking lifts. there are a couple members on here with 9 inch suspension lifts.

Obviously they dont make a 9 inch lift for our trucks so they had to stack. Dont know the specifics tho.

 

i think body lifts look bad also. But they look worse when they are by themselves. If you did a 2 inch body lift on a 3 inch suspension it would look ok imo. Any more body lift then that is a no go tho

i think they only make a 3 inch body lift. You would have to modify them.

 

ahh so like get one inch longer bolts and take the spacers to a bandsaw to cut them back

 

there are two instances its ok to stack lifts. 2wd trucks can have spindles plus spacers or coilovers to get a max height of 7". the spindles lift the truck but keep the stock geometry, same goes for the 6" drop bracket kits.
the drop bracket keeps everything aligned but I believe you can add extended coils to it to get 3" more making it 9". dont quote me on that though.
and then to get real crazy you could add a 3" body lift to get 12"

thanks man but i just read the site and its confusing and the thing i saw was it went only up to 07 but maybe i will call to see if they make it for 2010 also but that wont be until the Toytec ULK goes on, which i need our vendor to pm me back so i can get the discount code

 

05-10 use the same suspension parts, man.
