    I have a 98 2.7L Reg Cab - I want to fit 33s.

Just got a complete OME suspension with 881 coils. I would like to have a full 3" lift or close to it to clear 33s

My understanding is the 881 coils should lift the front approx 2" maybe 2.25" with 4cyl.

The rear dakar leaf springs should lift the approx 2.25".

I was thinking about adding a Top Spacer kit to bring to 3" or close. I have two options:

    1. Toytec Top Plate Spacer kit which raises it approx 3/4"
    2. Wheelers Off-road Spacer kit for about 1/2"

    What about the rear??

    1. Add a leaf to raise about 1" for 3.25" Lift in rear - Is that too much? If so, why? My concerns would be will the OME shocks be long enough for that....probably not. Will the drive shaft angles be too much?If I went with that I would go with the Toytec 3/4" Spacer so It is about 3" in Front.

    2. Other options for rear?

    3. Leave the rear alone and go with Wheelers spacer kit for 2.5-2.75" in front and 2.25" in Rear? (it probably would be 2.75" in front cause it is a 4 cyl) Does anyone have pics with this kind of setup? I personally like a little bit of rake or level. My concern is everyone will say it will be level but I have seen some pics where they say it is level and the front is a bit higher than the rear and it looks stupid.

The truck is a daily driver.....

    Thanks for the advice!

Typically the OME coils give a little more lift than advertised. I had the 885's on Bilstein 5100's and it gave me just over 3".

What about a 1st Generation Tacoma? I'm really looking for actual experience with a similar truck... not theory. (sorry if that sounds like I'm an asshole)

    Toyota's are awesome
Yes, with the 881's, you are only going to see the 2-2.5 inches of lift. So the use of our TOP-1 kit will get you your full 3" up front.
With the rear pack coming in at 2.25 inches of lift, that leaves the rear just a little higher than the front. I would not add an AAL to your leaf pack unless it's the OME AAL, or maybe put the 3 degree shim under the pack and that will add some minimal lift. Or, if you need a little more lift, since you have the 1st gen Taco, you can install a lift shackle for a little more rear lift. Or just leave the front spacer out and you will for sure have the rake your looking for and then just trim to fit your 33's.
You really have several different ways you could go about it...
    Hope I didn't confuse you :)
