Hello I am new to this site and also my Tacoma. I have a 2009 black access cab 2.7L 4x4 5 speed. I am deployed right now and I am going to purchase a lift and have family get it installed before i get back. right now after reading these forms for Hrs what I am looking at is getting...Bilstein 5100 Height Adjustable Front Shocks for the front end, and 1.5" Add a Leaf Kit in the rear. I am going to be purchasing them from wheelersoffroad for wheels and tires I am looking at pro comp 7089s 16x8 6 5.5 pattern wrapped in nittos 265/75/16.
I need to know how all this will go together I dont want to go to big on the tires and have to deal with any cutting but want the truck to have a meaner stance. how does all this sound? and will there be anything else I need to purchase before they bring it into the shop to have it installed? thanks for your time

Should be something very nice to come home to! I think you'll be satisfied.

x2...thats a good set up. Set the Billy 5100s at 2.5" up front and the 1 1/2" AAL in the rear will be a nice lift. Terra Grapplers are nice tires and the 7089s are great wheels! You'll be stoked to see it when you get back man...Hope we helped and stay safe!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)

I have a 3" lift and i'm still running 265s...I think it looks fine. Although i'm only running them because 285s wouldn't fit the stock wheels. The tire rubbed my UCAs soooo bad and I didn't wanna run wheel spacers so I just got 265s again. I now have Moto Metals with a 4.5" Backspacing so when the tires are done i'll get 285s.

If you were to run 285s you'd have some rubbing issues that could be fixed with mild trimming inside the fender :)

allright that sounds good I like the look of your size lift and tires. I am going to go with billys set and 2.5" and then the 1.5" aal in the rear. I will do the pro comp 7089 with 265/75/16 nittos. I would rather keep the clearance in the fenders and not deal with any rubbing. thanks for your help...also I was looking at getting the lift through wheelersoffroad is that a good place to get it? or do u know anywhere else I should try? they sell the billys and the 1.5 aal is that the right ones?
