Why is it a 3" Lift Kit?

Guys,

Pardon my lack of knowledge, but I am considering a lift kit for my 2010 DC. As luck would have it, I found a neighbor who installed a 3" Revtek on exactly the same truck. But what I am having a hard time understanding is that the blocks on the back are only about 1" or 1 1/2". The truck did increase in height about 3" but that was due to larger tires/wheels. So, why is it called a 3" lift kit?

DonR

Because it lifts the truck 3". Every 1" provides 2" of lift.

i bought a 3"lift revek spacer lift, with AAL 1.5" , save your money dude and buy some coil overs and a spring pak for the rears, the rev tek is decent for looks but after jumping on this forum and seeing whats up, i should have waited and saved up for what I really want after every ones input. I have an access cab. The revtek runs good but I want more. LOL here is a before and after shot with revtek.

Yeah I have the ome 885's and nitro sports and love it! It rides stiffer but it feels more solid. I have heard bad things from spacer lifts so I decided to get a better lift.

Now, if I can only get these OME's installed instead of sitting in the box I would be even happier.
