I have a Revteck 3" lift installed by the dealer when I bought the truck. The rear block is 1 3/4" . I have a friend that works a lathe and can make me a 2 1/2" block. My question is, is the Aluminum a specific grade for blocks, and how hard is it to change out the rear blocks? (Me not being a mechanic)

I don't know about the grade, but I'd be leaning towards steel over aluminum. You will also need new u-bolts. These complete kits are relatively cheap. I'd probably buy a complete setup.

Switching out the rear block is really simple. You could probably do it in about an hour. I think you can actually download the installation instructions from Revtec's website- if not, try Toytec (same procedures).
